Suspension training is a newly developed directed activity, although its beginnings date from the 1990s and the U.S. Navy SEALs.

Suspension training can last 30 to 45 minutes and provides us various benefits as it develops strength, at the same time that it improves flexibility, balance and stability of the central part of the body (core), just as required in any sporting activity or in everyday life. It allows us to train the entire body. It works on movements involving large muscle chains (functional workout), so it is a good cardiovascular workout and fat burner if we organise the workout in a circuit of intervals.

These movements and exercises are different to traditional exercises, since hands or feet are usually held by a single anchor point, while the opposite end of the body is in contact with the floor or base.
